Agustin VignalAgustin Vignal, Co-Founder & Director
Studied business economics at Torcuato Di Tella University during which time he also worked on fundraising and public relations at Fundación Iniciativa, an organization that promotes youth participation in society. After graduation, he worked as a business consultant, and spent time living and working overseas, mainly in New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Agustin helped found Expanish after returning from his travels inspired by his own experiences abroad. A native of Buenos Aires, Agustin enjoys running and training for marathons and is an active member in the TED community and entrepreneurial movement in the city.

 

Alejandro Rched, Co-Founder & Director
Alejandro, originally from Chaco, Argentina, studied Economics at Torcuato Di Tella University where he later went on to complete a Master’s degree in Finance. After graduation, he worked on government research projects looking at public debt, then for Price Waterhouse Coopers as an analyst. After traveling abroad extensively as a young professional, Alejandro realized the value of being immersed in other cultures and how it can open up the world we live in. This realization led to the creation of the Spanish language institute, Expanish.

 

Murphy Scott, Director of Institutional Relations
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Murphy has been living in Argentina for over 10 years working in international education. As Commercial Manager, Murphy is in charge of sales and institutional relations. He works with travel agencies, companies and universities to help bring students to study Spanish in Argentina and Spain. Murphy graduated from Whitman College where he studied Foreign Languages & Literatures. He recently completed an MBA at Torcuato Di Tella University. In his spare time, Murphy enjoys watching Argentine film and making ceramics.

 

Lucía De Dominicis, Admissions Advisor
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Lucia is currently finishing her degree in Communication in the University of Buenos Aires. She loves learning about different cultures and interacting with people from all over the world. This has lead to her study of both English and Portuguese. She enjoys traveling in Latin America and bringing her experiences back to the office. In her role as Admissions Advisor, Lucia handles day-to-day communication and manages the admission process. In her free time, Lucia writes articles for an online magazine and enjoys reading and watching movies.

 

Gabriel Aragona, Spanish Director
Gabriel Aragona was born and raised in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires and is always eager to introduce students to his native language. He studied at IES N°1 and graduated with a teaching degree in Spanish, Literature and Latin. He received the International House Certificate in Teaching Spanish and has over eight years of experience as an instructor. As the Spanish Director, Gabriel is in charge of program development, student placement, and assessment. He stays active in the language learning community through participation in American Councils on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL). In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys reading books and listening to music.

 

Milva Santa Cruz, Student Service Coordinator
Originally from Buenos Aires, Milva graduated from the Universidad del Museo Social Argentino as a trained interpreter and a literary translator. She loves meeting new people, especially from different parts of the world and learning about their countries and their cultures. She speaks English, Spanish and Argentine Sign Language – she loves communicating! In her role at Expanish, she serves as the Student service coordinator, attending student at reception, organizing activities and managing all the students housing. In her spare time, she enjoy musicals, theatre and being with her family.

 

Carina Ciapponi, Finance & Administration Manager
Carina Ciapponi, Finance and Administration Manager, was born and raised in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. She graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional with a degree in Industrial Organization and she also completed coursework in Literature, Design, and Psychology. After graduation, she gained extensive experience in administration and accounting in various organizations, in both large and small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and a bank. She manages all financial aspects and serves as the accounting contact. She loves learning languages, making handicrafts, spending time with friends and drinking mate.

 

Fadwa Kingsbury, Program Coordinator
A child of two worlds Fadwa grew up in the United States but spent time with her family in Egypt throughout her childhood. During the course of her studies in International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania Fadwa decided that she wanted to experience Egypt as an adult and lived in Cairo for two years. She spent one year studying at university and a second year living and working in Egypt at an educational start-up. After her time in Egypt Fadwa could not shake the travel bug and moved to Argentina where she has been putting to use her firsthand knowledge of studying abroad to ensure students get the most out of their programs.

 

Ines Schuber, Marketing Coordinator
A french globetrotter, Ines studied Marketing and International Business in Bordeaux, France. During the course of her degree she studied 4 languages, including Chinese, and had the opportunity to practice them while living in various countries abroad including Scotland, and the USA. Ines also spent 6 months in Hong Kong for a university exchange program where she had the opportunity to put her Chinese to the test. Upon graduating Ines decided to make her next adventure Argentina, to start her career as well as perfect her Spanish. During her free time, she likes to run and completed her first marathon in Buenos Aires, more importantly she is passionate about cooking and tries to pick up gastronomic influences from all the places she has visited to create her own gastronomic style!
